Cool-it, girl ("Cool-it, girl," "we," "us") is a small women's clothing boutique based in Santa Rosa, California. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit cool-itgirl.com, shop with us, join our email list, or shop with us in person, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to fill your order, keep in touch if you ask us to, and run the shop. We don't sell your personal information.

Information you give us
Orders: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if you provide one), what you bought, and your order history.
Payment: card and payment details are entered on our checkout and processed by our payment providers (such as Stripe). We don't see or store your full card number.
Email sign-ups: your email address when you join our list.
Messages: whatever you include when you email us at info@cool-itgirl.net, contact us through the site, or message us on social media, such as fit questions, return requests, or photos of a damaged item.
Accounts: if you create a customer account, your login details and saved information.
Events and local orders: your name and contact details if you RSVP to an event, arrange local pickup or delivery, or shop with us in person.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect some technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you got to our site, and actions like adding items to your cart or completing a purchase. This is collected using cookies, pixels, and similar tools (see "Cookies and tracking" below).

Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run the shop, and only as needed for them to do that job. These include:
Squarespace, which hosts our website, store, checkout, customer accounts, and email list
Payment processors, such as Stripe, which process your payment
Shipping companies and tools, such as USPS and Easyship, which create labels and deliver your order
Google, including Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, and Google Analytics tools, for advertising, measuring ad results, and showing our products on Google
Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising and measuring ad results
Pinterest, for advertising and measuring ad results
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other businesses so they can market their own products to you.
Cookies and tracking
Our site uses cookies and similar tools. Some are needed for the site to work, like keeping items in your cart. Others help us understand how the site is used and measure our ads. Our site includes tracking tools from Google, Meta, and Pinterest, which means those companies may collect information about your visit to our site and your activity across other websites over time.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest account settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works, such as your cart.
Do Not Track: Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so our site doesn't currently change what it does when it receives one.
Emails from us
If you join our email list, we'll send you news about drops, events, and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email info@cool-itgirl.net to be removed. We'll still send emails about orders you place, such as confirmations and shipping updates.
How long we keep it
We keep order information as long as we need it for our business records, taxes, returns, and warranty or damage claims. We keep email list information until you unsubscribe. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the reasons listed above.
How we protect it
We use trusted service providers with security measures in place, and we limit who can see your information. No website or online service is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you by emailing info@cool-itgirl.net. If you have a customer account, you can also update your information there. We may need to keep some information when the law requires it, such as order and tax records.
Children
Our site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll put a notice on our site or email customers on our list.
